The Walk for Memories on May 1st marks the fifth year this fundraiser has been organized by Investors Group. The walk was a great success raising more money over last year, to help to find a cure for dementia/Alzheimer’s. This disease wreaks havoc on families in so many disturbing ways.
The sun was shining as the walkers headed south on Railway Avenue 2½k each way. Many volunteers pitched in and participated in the walk. I returned for my second year meeting up with friends and making new ones.
Life Celebrant BC donates 10% gross income towards this very worthy cause. We also offer a generous discount to those wishing a customized celebration of life ceremony for a loved one who has passed having lived with Alzheimer’s.
